peahens season comes to an end in loss to loyola

 

JERSEY CITY, NJ (October 29, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-15-2, 0-8-1 MAAC) had their 2006 season come to an end this afternoon in a 3-0 loss to the Loyola College Greyhounds (10-6-2, 8-1 MAAC). Loyola has won the MAAC Regular Season Championship and is heading to the MAAC Tournament. The Greyhounds scored two goals in the first half and one in the second half to take the victory. Saint Peter's goalie Jilian Fueshko made 13 saves in the match. The Peahens will head into the off-season with high expectations for 2007, losing just four players to graduation and returning a young nucleus of players.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (October 27, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-14-2, 0-7-1 MAAC) dropped a tough 1-0 decision this afternoon to the Rider University Broncs (6-8-2, 4-4 MAAC). The lone goal of the match was scored at 29:57 by Rider's Michelle Matricardi off a Shana Herman assist. Jilian Fuehsko made seven saves for the Peahens. Saint Peter's will wrap-up the season on Sunday afternoon as they host Loyola College.

 

peahens and highlanders play to scoreless tie

 

JERSEY CITY, NJ (October 21, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-13-2) played to a 0-0 tie with the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders (1-13-1) this afternoon in non-conference action. The Peahens had 13 shots on goal and seven corner kicks, but could get the ball past the Highlander goalkeeper. The Saint Peter's defense limited NJIT to just three shots on goal for the entire game. Jenna Charnley led the Peahens with five shots on goal. Saint Peter's will return to action on Friday, October 27th as they host the Rider University Broncs for a 2pm kickoff at Jaroschak Field.

 

Peahens fall to jaspers

 

RIVERDALE, NY (October 19, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-13-1, 0-6-1 MAAC) fell to the Manhattan College Jaspers this afternoon, 2-1 in MAAC action. The Jaspers took a 2-0 lead in the second half, but the Peahens got on the board at the 89:03 mark. Jackie Chikosky put one in the net off a Sarah Meier assist. Jilian Fuehsko made six saves for the Peahens. Saint Peter's will play their final non-conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon as they host NJIT at 1pm.

 

Stags shutdown peahens in maac action

 

FAIRFIELD, CT (October 15, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-12-1, 0-5-1 MAAC) fell to the Fairfield University Stags (7-4-4, 3-0-2 MAAC) this afternoon, 3-0 in MAAC action. Jilian Fuehsko once again made double-digit saves, stopping 10 Stag shots. Saint Peter's will return to action Saturday, October 21 as they host NJIT in their final non-conference match of the season.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 14, 2006) - The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-11-1, 0-4-1 MAAC) played to a 0-0 tie with the Iona College Gaels (3-7-4, 1-1-2 MAAC) this afternoon. The Peahens got off six shots, but could not find the net. Iona sent 22 shots towards Saint Peter's goalie Jilian Fuehsko. Fueshko made 10 saves for the Peahens, including two in the first overtime. Saint Peter's will head to Fairfield for a MAAC match on Sunday.
