Biomedical Sciences (Health Careers)

Dr. Sciorra

The Health Careers Committee provides support to students who plan careers in medicine, dentistry, or other health professions. Students entering Saint Peter's College with the intention of applying to any of the various health careers programs should enroll as BiologyChemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology majors.

In addition to the traditional majors in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Physics, Saint Peter's has affiliations with several schools for highly motivated students with strong academic records. Most of these programs offer students a unique opportunity to accelerate their academic studies and complete their professional programs faster and at a significant financial savings.

Saint Peter's has also recently announced a new program, a joint B.A./M.D. Program between Saint Peter’s College, Drexel University College of Medicine, and Saint Peter’s University Hospital. This highly selective B.A./M.D. program is designed to provide qualified undergraduates at Saint Peter’s college with early acceptance to Drexel University College of Medicine and an invaluable undergraduate internship at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

Most programs listed below require students to spend three years at Saint Peter's College followed by three or four years at their respective affiliated professional school. Programs of study include combined Bachelor degrees in Clinical Lab Sciences (Cytotechnology, Laboratory Science), Masters degrees in Physician Assistant, and Doctoral degrees in Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy.
