Education. One student at a Time.
Our Mission
Saint Peter’s College, inspired by its Jesuit, Catholic identity, commitment to individual attention and grounding in the liberal arts, educates a diverse community of learners in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs to excel intellectually, lead ethically, serve compassionately and promote justice in our ever-changing urban and global environment.
Our Jesuit Commitment
Saint Peter’s College is one of twenty-eight Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States and the only one in New Jersey. Since 1872, Saint Peter’s College has offered a university education based on the fundamental values of academic excellence, leadership, service and faith. Dedicated to providing a high quality and affordable Jesuit education to our students, the College offers an extensive scholarship program and the second lowest Jesuit tuition rate on the East Coast.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, knew that the body, mind and spirit could be uniquely nourished in educational institutions. At Saint Peter’s, the opportunities for personal growth are endless.
Our students
The College has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 full-time and part-time students hailing from across the country and the globe. With a student-faculty ratio of 12 to 1, undergraduate class sizes averaging only 22 students and a stellar faculty comprising Jesuits and lay members from a broad span of expertise, Saint Peter’s College upholds the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, or “care for the whole person.”
Students at Saint Peter’s College receive the personal attention, encouragement, and dedication of our faculty and staff that they need to graduate on time and go out into the world a “man or woman for others.”
Our Degree programs
The College offers over 40 undergraduate and pre-professional programs through the College of Arts and Sciences / School of Business Administration (CAS/SBA) and the School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS). An Honors program, individualized majors and opportunities to earn credits for internships, service learning and other off-campus experiences are also available to our students.
Our stellar graduate programs offer our students the opportunity to earn master's degrees in Education, Business Administration, Accountancy, Criminal Justice Administration and Nursing.
Our Locations
Saint Peter's College operates two campuses that comprise almost 30 acres in Jersey City and Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
The main campus of Saint Peter’s College is located in the heart of Jersey City, the second largest city in New Jersey. Just minutes from the Journal Square PATH Station, a major hub connecting Jersey City with Newark, Hoboken and New York City, the campus is easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Our Englewood Cliffs campus in Bergen County, New Jersey, offers undergraduate and graduate programs for adult learners.
In addition to our main campuses, the College offers programs for adult learners at several off-site locations, especially fitting for students interested in continuing their education on nights and weekends close to home, and even offers corporate partners the opportunity to participate in programs that bring the classroom directly to your place of business.
