One random fact about you: I'm very proud to be Ecuadorian and Peruvian!
Favorite SPC Memory: I honestly have so many to choose from, but I'll pick one that I hold very dear to my heart. It has to be my first Koinonia retreat on March 6th-8th, 2009 in Sterling, NJ. This retreat truly opened my eyes to the Jesuit ideals of Saint Peter's and how beautiful it was to build community and trust amongst students you don't normally talk to. During the time I was there I shared stories, tears, laughs and moments that I will never forget for the rest of my life. Koinonia 8 holds a special place in my heart and I created the best friendships that I still hold today. It definitely was a life-changing experience and I encourage each and every SPC student to go on this retreat at least once!
Advice for incoming freshman: My advice is to always remember your education comes before any other obligations you may have at the college. When you are satisfied with your grades and know that you are giving 100% effort towards classes, then GET INVOLVED! In my opinion, I love SPC because of the various leadership opportunities I took advantage of and the fact that each student has a chance to shine here. The college experience is what you make of it and if you make the right decisions, you make your time here worthwhile. Networking is key in college. Keep in mind that it's not WHAT you know or WHO you know, IT'S WHO KNOWS YOU!
