James Adler, Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts 
The Big Apple Corps Symphonic Band's 30th Anniversary Celebration featured "Allegro Scherzando: A Celebration for Piano and Concert Band," composed by James Adler. Adler also appeared as guest soloist at this event on November 14 in the Peter Norton Symphony Space in New York City.

Dr. Anna Brown, Assistant Professor of Political Science
Dr. Anna Brown conducted a workshop, "Expand Your Heart: Nonviolence and the Art of Clowning," at the Gandhi-King Conference, Christian Brothers University, Memphis, Tennessee, on October 23, 2009.

Dr. Marilyn Cohen, Director of Women's Studies
Marilyn Cohen, Ph.D., spoke about the Saint Peter's women's studies program at the Women’s Rights Information Center’s memorial celebration of Elizabeth Cady Stanton's birthday in November.

Ernabel Demillo, Professor of Journalism
Ernabel Demillo was featured in New Jersey's 4074 Magazine in an article about her television career, her position at Saint Peter's and her home.

Dr. Barna Donovan, Chair of the Communication Department
Dr. Barna Donovan has published "Blood, Guns, and Testosterone: Action Films, Audiences, and a Thirst for Violence," a study of action film fandom, with Scarecrow Press.

Dr. William Luhr, Professor of English
Dr. William Luhr organized an co-chaired a presentation by Professors William Boddy (Baruch College, C.U.N.Y.) and Lynn Spigel (Northwestern University) entitled “An Endless Game of Hide-and-Seek: Targeting Out-of-Home Media Users” at Columbia University on November 5, 2009.

He also delivered a talk on “Pedagogy, Textbooks, and the State of Cinema Studies” as part of a Round Table on the Topic at Columbia University on December 10.

Beatrice Mady, Professor of Fine Arts
Beatrice Mady will exhibit a selection from her Japanese Series Digital Prints, Bushido, at the 20th Annual Cathedral Arts Festival at Grace Church Van Vorst Gallery in Jersey City, NJ from November 14 through December 5. 

Dr. Patricia Redden, Professor of Chemistry, and Dr. Sheila Rabin, Professor of History
Dr. Patricia Redden and Dr. Sheila Rabin will perform with the St. Cecilia Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by David Randolph, Doctor honoris causa from SPC, on Thursday, December 10, at 8:00 p.m. in Carnegie Hall. The program comprises the monumental "Great" Mass in C Minor by Mozart and the rarely performed but delightful Mass in B Flat by Hummel.
