• Where is Saint Peter's College? What is the nearest airport from the college?

  Saint Peter's College is located in Jersey City, NJ, west of New York City across the Hudson River. The nearest airport from SPC is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). SPC is also accessible from other airports around New York City including JFK.
    

• Are airport pickups available?

  The International Student Office tries its best to make airport pickups available for international students arriving for the first time. We encourage students to arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport since it is the nearest and most accessible airport. Students should provide their flight details in advance, so that the arrangement for pickups can be made. In case we are unable to provide the service; there are alternative means of transportation to get to the college.   

• What are the other options to get to the campus?
  There are airport to airport shuttle services between the JFK and EWR. One such service is www.olympicairporter.com .Students can take a taxi from the arrival airport to SPC. SPC is around 10 miles from EWR and around 25 miles from JFK. 

   

• Are on-campus jobs available for International Students? Where can I work?
  Yes, on-campus jobs are available but not guaranteed. All students can apply for an on-campus job. Some departments where international students have found work are Library, CALL center, International Student Office, Recreational Life Center, and the Admission Office.    

• When and how do I make my first payment towards my College bill? 

  When you arrive, you can make your first payment at the Enrollment Services Center located first floor of McDermott Hall. For more information, please contact us at 201-761-6050 or visit us at www.spc.edu/payments. It is not advisable to bring all your currency in cash. Travelers' checks (TC) are much safer. We also accept checks, money order and Master, Visa, American Express, Discover credit card payments.    

• How do I open a bank account?
  There are many banks in the area. You can pick a bank of your choice to open an account. But some banks might require a social security number to open an account. 

• How do I get a social security number?

• How do I get a cell phone?
  Prepaid phones can be easily bought in any cell phone store or online without a social security number but a postpaid phone with a plan requires a social security number or a certain amount of deposit.
