Joseph J. Lamachia, General Manager, WSPC Radio-TV, Adjunct Professor of Communications
Lamachia took several of his students to WCBS NewsRadio 880, where they met with Steve Holt, managing editor and Tim Scheld, director of news and programming, and discussed career aspirations and the business of radio news. Metereologist Craig Allen also talked with the students about the intricacies of weather forecasting and reporting. Students also saw the news presented live in the studio with anchors Wayne Cabot and Steve Scott, and met Ray Hoffman, business editor of the Wall Street Journal.

William Luhr, Ph.D., Professor of English
Dr. Luhr recently had his co-authored essay “Blake Edwards Victor/Victoria: A Hollywood Auteur Comes to Broadway” (“Victor/Victoria de Blake Edwards: un auteur hollywoodien à Broadway”) published in French in Alternatives théâtrales 101: Extérieur cinéma.
Dr. Katherine Safford-Ramus, Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Safford-Ramus spoke at the New Jersey Correctional Education Association Staff Development Day on May 8, 2009. The conference was held in Hamilton, New Jersey. Dr. Safford presented a paper titled Teaching Mathematics in Prison.
Alain L. Sanders, Lecturer of Political Science
Sanders published an op-ed piece in The Star Ledger on Sunday, May 31, 2009, about the Sotomayor nomination and the Supreme Court. The article can be viewed here.
Dr. Wei-Dong Zhu, Assistant Professor of Physics
