Dr. Frederick Bonato and Dr. Andrea Bubka, Professors of Psychology
Dr. Frederick Bonato and Dr. Andrea Bubka will appear on The Science Channel’s television show, Weird Connections. The show addresses how their work in sensory conflict can be applied to other situations such as space travel and simulators. Weird Connections will air on the following dates and times: December 10 at 5:00 p.m., December 11 at 5:00 a.m., December 14 at 4:00 p.m., December 23 at 10:30 p.m., December 24 at 1:30 a.m.. December 25 at 5:30 a.m. and December 28 at 4:30 p.m.
Hon. Joseph V. Doria, Ed.D. '64, Member, Board of Trustees
The Hon. Joseph Doria was inducted into Marist High School's Hall of Fame, receiving the Spirit of Marist award. An honor roll student throughout his days at Marist, Doria prides himself for being the recipient of the Marist History Award his senior year. He has previously served as an adjunct professor of history at Saint Peter's, as well as the urban coordinator, director of educational services, director of the summer session and director of human resources over a 29-year span at the College. Pat and Maria Elliott are pleased to announce the arrival of their son, John James Elliott, 5 lbs., 6 oz., 17 inches on Wednesday, November 19, 2008.
Dr. Brian Hopkins, Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Hopkins presented his research at the Combinatory Analysis 2008 conference held December 5 through 8 at Pennsylvania State University. The conference was held for the 70th birthday of George Andrews, incoming president of the American Mathematical Society and the pre-eminent scholar on integer partitions. Hopkins spoke on "Garden of Eden Partitions for General Column-to-Row Operations," research done in collaboration with Louis Kolitsch of the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Dr. Patricia Redden, Professor of Chemistry, and Dr. Sheila Rabin, Professor of History
Dr. Patricia Redden and Dr. Sheila Rabin will sing Handel's Messiah at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, December 13, at 8:00 p.m. They are performing with the St. Cecilia Chorus under the direction of David Randolph. Mr. Randolph received an honorary doctoral degree from Saint Peter's College in May 2006 and has conducted Messiah a record of 172 times. The chorus has generously provided free tickets to their semi-annual Carnegie Hall concerts to Saint Peter's College students for the last three years.
