Student Tutorials, Online Physics Lectures & Blogs

There are three keys things to becoming a successful student. One is to practice with others by studying things you might not fully understand. Another is to pick up knowledge from other college professors by looking at there lectures, studying the notes, and understanding the material covered. Last, it's to communicate with students, let them know what you think, socialize with those you don't know. If you can do these things, then you can adapt to any type of environment. This is a key thing to remember if you want to become a better, more sophisticated individual. This page will allow you to do the following:

1) Next year, there will be study sessions consisting of a GRE session and a homework session. In the GRE session, students prepare for the GRE (Graduate Record Examination). In the homework session, physics and math majors will be able to tutor students who might need help with homework.
2) Currently, professors have noted that students pay more attention when they watch a video about class material. So, on this page at times, professors may chose to post lectures. Also, lectures from outside professors will be posted here. This will allow you to better prepare yourselves in the current classes you may be taking, and to pick up knowledge you might not have known.
3) Last, a Member Blog. This is a cool option. Students will be able to chat with members, ask them questions, or email them about classroom discussions, or meeting information. A link to the webpage will be displayed here, members will then have to register. All interesting discussions will be announced here on a regular basis.

Notes: Students will be able to apply for Internships, and join a lounge full of college students from all other the United States (http://www.compadre.org/Student/loungeIndex.cfm). Its called, "The Nucleus", and it's a website designed for physics and astronomy undergraduates. There are all sorts of resources for research and learning, plus cool links and discussion forums for talking with fellow students.
Please make sure to register to the webpage in order to receive full membership access. Once you are a member, you can contact any one who's a member for discussions, to post upcoming events, or to make your presence known to others. Take advantage of this great resource available to members of SPS and the science community.
