The Corporation for National and Community Service, which administers the annual Honor Roll award, recognized Saint Peter’s College for its impact on issues including poverty, homelessness and environmental justice. At Saint Peter’s, as well as on campuses across the country, students joined faculty and administration to develop innovative programs and projects to meet local needs utilizing the skills gained in their classrooms. Dr. William Gutsch, distinguished professor in the College of Arts and Sciences/School of Business Administration at Saint Peter’s, joins an illustrious group of past presidents to serve the ASP’s Board of Directors, including Edwin Hubble, who discovered the expanding universe and for whom the Hubble Space Telescope is named. The ASP is the largest general astronomy society in the world with members participating from more than 70 nations. (more)
