Family Weekend 2008: October 24-25
Family Weekend is a tradition at SPC. Formerly called Fall Fest the weekend of events allow the SPC community to share their home away from home with their families. Family Weekend offers something for everyone. ALL students & families must RSVP online or at the Office of Student Activities.
ALL ACCESS PASS: Pre-registered Family Weekend guests receive access to the Spooktacular, Performing Arts Showcase, Movie, Tailgate BBQ and Concert with their ALL ACCESS PASS. An all Access Pass is FREE for SPC students & employees. For guests an All Access Pass is $20 per adult; $10 per child (child under 12 free). Supplies are limited so rsvp as soon as possible.
Friday, October 24
Siblings Weekend Check -In @ The Office of Residence Life
To register for Siblings Weekend contact the Office of Residence Life at 201-761-7130. $10 fee per sibling.
Women’s Soccer Game vs. Siena @ 2:00 PM
Shuttle service to field available
Extended Hours at the SPC College Store
The College Store will remain open until 7:00 PM for Family Weekend shopping.
Halloween Theme Dinner in the Hudson Room @ 5:00 PM
Specialty food items, contests & DJ music. Regular prices apply for all guests.
Performing Arts Showcase @ 7:00 PM in Roy Irving Theater
Featuring performances by Argus Eyes, the McMullen Chorale and the Dance Team.
The SPC Spooktacular @ 8:30 PM in the Rec Life Center
“The Haunted Hallway”, Gladiator Joust, Karaoke & Intramural 2 on 2 Basketball
“Blockbuster Movie” in Pope Lecture Hall @ 9:30 PM
“Young Frankenstein”
“Young Frankenstein” on Broadway
Limited tickets are available from the Office of Student Activities for this optional excursion to New York City. $35 per ticket.
Saturday, October 25
Tailgate BBQ @ Jaroschak Field @ 12:00 PM
A BBQ feast under a tent including ribs, chicken, sausage, burgers, dogs & more! Shuttle service available to the field. Alcoholic beverages strictly prohibited.
Men’s Soccer vs. Manhattan @ 1:00 PM
Students will have a chance to win a $500 Urban Outfitters gift certificate during the halftime shootout!
The Hudson Symphony Orchestra in Concert @ 7 PM in Roy Irving Theatre
Complimentary admission for all SPC One Card holders; $10 admission for guests of
members of the SPC community; $20 general admission.
