SPC AAUP news

Dear SPC Colleagues,

I am excited to share two great pieces of news.

First, Dr. Matthew Fung of the Department of Economics and Finance was elected to the office of Treasurer of the New Jersey State American Association of University Professors (AAUP) on April 18, 2008.  Matthew replaces Herbert Gishlick of Rider University and will serve for a period of two years.  Please join me in congratulating Matthew for winning the election and thanking him for his willingness to represent the College and the profession at the state level.

Second, SPC has won the AAUP Konheim Award for our efforts to address the complex issue of sexual harassment. A special thank you goes to Maryellen Hamilton for preparing the application and to all past officers, members and other factions of the SPC community that worked on this project. Officially we will share honors with Wright State University.
