Society of Physics Students
About SPS
This organization is focused on helping the student body love and enjoy physics. Our goal is to develop a society that students will not only learn about the physical world, but students can be interactively involved. Students from any major are welcome to come during our meetings, which take place every week or two, on Wednesday in pope 2 at 12:00 noon. During each meeting, we discuss current events in physics and other areas that are of great importance. Food is always served at each of the meetings. If you want more information, please contact us, our information is below:
Why Join SPS?
The SPS exists to help students transform themselves into contributing members of the professional community. Course work develops only one range of skills. Other skills needed to flourish professionally include effective communication and personal interactions, leadership experience, establishing a personal network of contacts, presenting scholarly work in professional meetings and journals, and outreach services to the campus and local communities.

A note from the president to the members:
SPS is our organization and everyone should be active within the club. Every event that is carried out will always depend on voting by members. As president, I feel that my job is to assist each and every one of you.
Our goal is to make the club fun for students: we will learn about current events, explain mysterious in science areas, do research, take trips, and have great experiences together. In the end, this is what makes our society something that we will never forget and something to pass on to future generations.
