Department of applied science and technology

In the past few decades, there has been an enormous accumulation of basic scientific information in all the natural sciences that has lead to numerous applied scientific applications and many new emerging technologies. This has created an environment in which undergraduates, who have a basic understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, plus a strong background in their current applications, are in great demand in the workforce. Saint Peter’s College is located in the heart of this applied science and technology environment, with many research, pharmaceutical, chemical, bio-chemical and physics based firms located within the College’s geographic domain. These industries are a virtual employment engine that will drive the future scientific development of our country.

The Department of Applied Science and Technology's object is to educate the students:

• To work in the field of applied science and technology for positions in industry, clinical laboratory testing, the health professions and biomedical, chemical and physics research settings.
• To enter into the many fields of applied science and technology research with training at the baccalaureate degree level.
• To pursue graduate study in the field of applied science and technology.
• To prepare students for professional school in various health related disciplines.
