Speaker biographies

 

Rosemarie I. Strawn, MBA, Owner of Positive Actions, motivates teams to increase productivity, teamwork and communications with each other and their customers through results-oriented, customized and cost-effective Training Seminars and Motivational Speeches. Some training seminars are Public Speaking, Time Management and Stress Management. She is a Dynamic and Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer with over 15 years experience in Team Productivity Improvement. She has integrated her strong Managerial and Technical expertise to develop comprehensive training solutions. Ms. Strawn provides Public Speaking Coaching to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

 

Sarah Slaiman graduated from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University with a Master's degree in Public Administration.  While there, she served as the Area Director of the Office of Housing and Residence Life, leading a team of people offering the best service possible to both prospective and current University students. Sarah designed and implemented the only freshman-focused program at RU-Newark, which served over 350 students. Her experience in program development, management and event planning has helped her better understand the commitment required to make an event successful. As an undergraduate at Rutgers Newark, Sarah completed a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and graduated with honors with a Certificate from the prestigious Eagleton Institute of Politics. Sarah currently works as the Program Manager of Leadership New Jersey, a public policy organization based in Trenton.

 

Paul Grimes has been an employee of The Sherwin-Williams Paint Company since 1989. During his tenure he has held positions managing company owned stores, working in the Eastern Division marketing department and for the last 8 years as a member of District Management. Currently he is the Metro New Jersey District Manager. The 37 stores within his district cover central and northern New Jersey and southern New York.

Two major parts of Paul’s responsibilities through out his career have been wholesale sales development and employee recruitment and retention. In these capacities he has had the pleasure of entertaining hundreds of customers and employees at sporting events, lunches and dinners. While he does not profess to be Mister Manners, his unique perspective on the nuances of customer and employee entertainment should be beneficial to all who attend.

 

Vivian Verhelle is a Saint Peter’s College graduate class of 1981. Vivian has over 30 years of experience in internal auditing and automotive finance in the U.S., South America, and Europe, credit and product risk management and development of new processes and requirements for business changes. Vivian retired from Ford Motor Credit in 2007.

 

Cecilia Michalik is a Saint Peter’s College graduate class of 1973. Cecilia has over 30 years in credit, collections, operations and customer service globally; she is also a member of the Board of Trustees at St Peter’s College. Cecilia retired from Ford Motor Credit in 2007.
