What SPC Loves About Henry

| Dave Bryngil and Jenny Rosetti join Gene Cornacchia in congratulating Henry. |
Despite the fact that he is in his 80s, Henry will always go the extra mile to make sure a job is completed right or someone has the most positive experience possible at the RLC. He brings an old fashion work ethic to the smile, and a compassionate and caring spirit that is truly in keeping with the Jesuit tradition.
Henry is a bundle of energy and happiness, which is reflected in his work. He has a joy for living and everyone at the RLC, from fellow employees to students to RLC members, appreciate Henry for his incredible personality. Henry is selfless, dedicated and invaluable to our staff.
Henry is a blessing to the Recreational Life Center. I only wish I had half the energy he has. Henry is one of the most pleasant people to be around and he is always looking to help those around him.
Henry is best described as a charming, ambitious employee who exemplifies great work ethics. Through rain or shine, Henry arrives on the job, ready to take care of business. With his friendly, outgoing disposition, Henry can be seen hustling from one office to the next without ever complaining. He is always in a good mood! Henry is an avid photographer. He has a wonderful photo collection which he shares with all those who are interested. Henry is a terrific choice for employee of the month!
What Henry Loves About SPC
Henry loves the people, above all, the ability to be amongst some of the nicest, warmest, honest individuals he has ever had the pleasure of knowing. Initially, his plans were to work for two or three years then leave. These plans fell by the wayside and years later, he’s still here with no regrets. After sixteen years of service he still feels comfortable coming here and mingling with co-workers, students and staff members. Along the way he has even had the opportunity to receive an education from everyone.
Henry After Hours
Most of his evenings are spent in his small humble apartment doing simple chores while enjoying the classical station, WQXR. At present, he is spending time trying to disperse of all the unnecessary items, not really needed. By nature he is a collector, hence the “House of Clutter.”
Occasionally he will attend a concert or an opera when funds allow or tickets are available.
After dinner, a TV show or movie will complete the day’s menu, but he’s not addicted to the “tube” yet.
When weather approves, his camera, companion and he often go out to Brooklyn Botanic Gardens or the Brooklyn Museum. A good walking tour of New York City’s many interesting parts makes for a great day in the city.
Henry’s Wishes for SPC
Henry states that none of us know what tomorrow may bring, but may it be a peaceful constructive era. Hopefully SPC will grow, but not too large and the diversity we enjoy expand to all corners of the globe. He hopes and trusts that all the students of “diversity” will leave SPC with the understanding and camaraderie learned here.
