NASA Grant
On October 1, 2007 the College was awarded a grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for the project, "Enhancing Physical Sciences and Human Factors Education and Research." The grant will directly benefit the Mathematics and Physics Department the Psychology Department. The grant provides $459,846 of funding for equipment and supplies. Some of the ways the psychology students will benefit are:
- a better equipped cognitive science laboratory with new computers and specialized equipment
- a dissemination lab capable of multimedia production
- an organizational behavior laboratory with new equipment and a video surveillance system
- a human perception and performance lab equipped with flight simulation and virtual reality technology
- an upgraded computer lab with new computers and specialized psychology software
