HEMPSTEAD, NY - The Saint Peter's College Peacocks (1-1) started their nine game road trip this afternoon with a 2-0 shutout win over the Hofstra Pride. The Peacocks got on the board in the 19th minute and then added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute. Tyler Clarhaut (1-0) got the start in goal this evening and made five saves for the shutout victory.

"We played a real good game on both sides of the ball tonight," said Saint Peter's Head Coach Guy Abrahamson. "Tyler (Clarhaut) made some key stops in goal and we took advantage of our opportunities on the offensive end."

Liad Amir got the Peacocks on the board in the 19th minute as he scored his second goal of the season on a free kick from 20 yards out. Saint Peter's then doubled their lead as Dmitri Pelts buried one from 18 yards out off an assist from Lebo Pila in the 62nd minute.

Saint Peter's was outshot 15-10 and Hofstra had seven corners to just three for the Peacocks.

Saint Peter's will continue their road trip on Friday afternoon as they travel to face Monmouth at 3pm.
