WHITE PLAINS, NY (April 17, 2008) - The Met Basketball Writers Association announced their award winners today and Todd Sowell was named to their Third Team. Sowell joins two other MAAC players as award winners. The winners will be honored at the 75th Annual NIT/MBWA Awards Dinner held this evening. Sowell, who was also named Second Team All-MAAC, averaged a double-double during his senior season with 12.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest. He ended his career 17th all-time in scoring (1,190), second in rebounds (972) and as the program's all-time blocks lead (196). Sowell is just the second person in SPC history to score over 1,100 points and grab over 900 rebounds.
