The following measures are used by individual departments to evaluate student learning, improve teaching and curriculum at Saint Peter's College
ADVISORY BOARDS: inform students and teachers on workplace methods and practices.
ALUMNI SURVEYS and BOARD CERTIFICATIONS: measure student learning as consistent to benchmarks in a field.
EXAMS: engage students with content of a class, offered in coordination with department goals.
EXHIBITIONS: offer students feedback from all levels of the college community and the public.
EMPLOYER FEEDBACK: gives students a method to self-assess their performance in relation to workplace demands.
ESSAYS: create a dialogue between students and faculty members with regard to articulation of course content.
HONOR SOCIETIES: provide feedback and encouragement to students for excellent performance.
INTERVIEWS OF STUDENTS: offer a direct engagement of students with the multiple processes of their learning and future.
INSTRUCTOR SELF ASSESSMENT: allows faculty to take an objective view of teaching methods and professional improvement.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS: engage students in the college mission of using rhetoric as a means to speak out in order to serve others.
PARTICIPATION IN NATIONAL EVENTS: provides students and the college with means to benchmark performance.
PEER EVALUATIONS: create an awareness of learning outcomes and goals at the level of student participation.
PORTFOLIOS: offer students a tool to obtain feeback from internal and external evaluators.
PUBLICATION OF ARTICLES: gives students the opportunity to get recognition in their fields.
RESEARCH PAPERS: engage students in the verbal and literal process of learning by writing, revising and rethinking ideas.
SAMPLING CLASS WORK: allows faculty and departments to dialogue about goals and student outcomes.
STUDENT SELF ASSESSMENT: creates a means for students to take an active part in ther learning.

TESTS: provide opportunities for feedback on specific content that is deemed important to individual departments.
