President: goritsa marova, '09
As an international student from Bulgaria and considered one of the outstanding students in Saint Peter’s College, Goritsa Marova has big ambitions as the president of The Student Alumni Association. Her accomplishments and honors have prepared her for another adventure. A Presidential Scholar majoring in Accounting and Economics with a Business Law minor, officially inducted into the Most Noble Order of the Peacock (MNOP) and awarded Gold Medals for overall Academic Achievements in 2007 and 2008, Goritsa is proud to be an SPC student. Besides all her academic accomplishments, she is also capable in the real world with her experience in the Finance Division at Lehman Brothers Inc. since May 2007, honing her skills as a future accountant. Apart from her presidency with SAA, she is also a member of the Accounting Society. Goritsa has also worked as a student tutor, helping other students to improve and excel in their studies. “The greatest risk in life is not taking one” is what inspires this senior to be well prepared to lead SAA members to a successful year and becoming a role model to many on campus.
Vice President: romina krasteva, '09
Currently a senior at the college, Romina Krasteva has fully experienced the high quality of education she has received in Saint Peter’s College. She has been able to become the well-rounded person SPC instructs by pursuing majors in Economics and Accounting with a minor in Business Law. As our Vice-President, Romina has always walked through the doors that have come her way. Coming to the USA as an international student from Bulgaria in 2005, she has made Saint Peter’s her new home. As a presidential scholar, recipient of Academic Achievement in 2005 and a part of the Dean’s List, Romina is close to fulfilling her dream of graduation a good business program near the center of the world’s financial industry. Romina has been able to practice within her field throughout her four years in the college. She has gained knowledge as an intern for Fidelity Investments, Marsh & McLennan Co., Madison Consulting Group, and is currently interning with Fortis Bank. Not only is she ready for the real world, but Romina has also been able to keep up with student activities on campus. As a tutor, member of the Accounting Society and Omicron Delta Epsilon, and vice-president for SAA she stands out among the student body.
Treasurer: saugat karki, '11
As an economics major with a minor in finance, Saugat Karki is applying his knowledge and aiming for an outstanding year as the treasurer of SAA. He is currently as sophomore at the college and truly believes SPC is part of who he is and wants to be in the future. Saugat is a presidential scholar, a part of the Dean’s list and an honor student. Saugat is undoubtedly dedicated to his studies and very active in other college activities. He is involved in the leadership program at SPC and is also a member of the Accounting Society. He describes himself as motivated and passionate about having a successful career on Wall Street.
secretary: priscila perez, '10
Not so far from her home, Priscila Perez has been able to consider the SPC community as her second home. As a Secretary of SAA, VP-Professional Activities of Delta Sigma Pi, and treasurer for the Class of 2010, Priscila has been able to balance her responsibilities as a daughter, student, and fellow classmate. Junior at the college and majoring in Accounting, Priscila has always wanted to not only receive the college experience academically and socially, but also to be able to live through the changes and discoveries as a college student. Taking advantage of what SPC offers, Priscila is also a member of the Established Leaders’ Program and a Pavo Society Ambassador. Her goal as the Secretary of SAA is to donate herself to others and help and always expect the best from her fellow peers.
Web Developer/Historian: ivo stoyanov, '10
Earning his spot on the College’s Dean’s List, an Honors student, and President Scholar, Ivo is definitely one of Saint Peter’s College’s select. As an international student from Pleven, Bulgaria, he is currently studying Accountancy and International Business & Trade at the College. He is also the historian and web developer for SAA and works part time for Lehman Brothers Inc.
Public Relations Officer: anton Bletsov, '11
Our public relations officer for this year is Anton Bletsov – a truly prominent sophomore at the college. Despite being far away from home, he has been able to focus on his priorities as a college student and demonstrate great leadership qualities. With his persistency and an urge for an outstanding performance, Anton has been able to dominate all the corners in his life. Not only does he participate in various clubs and organizations, but he has many distinguishing talents. One of the skills he takes pride in is his ability to communicate in English, German, Greek, Bulgarian, and Macedonian. Furthermore, Anton does not settle with these languages and plans on studying Japanese as well. He has been able to apply his talents, as he is currently a finance intern in New York City, and still has time to devote a few hours as a tutor at the college. Even though he has been in the US for less than two years, Anton has experienced a lot and wants to take this year to assist in the development of the Student Alumni Association. He also perceives this academic year as an outstanding opportunity to make one step further towards his dream, achieving a successful career in one of his spheres of interest, namely investment banking and trade.
Administrative Advisor: Frances Salvo, '02
A dedicated member to the Saint Peter’s College community, Frances Salvo serves as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and SAA Advisor. As a junior director, Frances is involved in coordinating events for the alumni population. A 2002 graduate of the College, this scholarship recipient earned a B.S. in Management Information Systems. “At every event we hold, I see the loyalty and dedication of Saint Peter's College alumni to their alma mater. It’s like a family gathering. And I look forward for the SAA students to become part of that bond,” Frances says. She is also the second of three girls in her family to graduate from the College.
