Floor Hockey Rules and Regulations

Section 1: Player Eligibility

1.  To play Intramural Floor Hockey, a participant must be a current SPC day or evening student, faculty member, staff member, or administrator.  Alumni are also permitted to play.  Each team is permitted only one alumnus.

2.  Every player must submit a valid SPC ID card to the Intramural Staff at the first game of the season or they will be declared ineligible to play.

3.  All participants should have their SPC ID card with them at all games.  The intramural staff reserves the right to inspect ID cards at all times.

4.  A team may add players to their rosters during the entire course of the regular season.  Rosters, however, will be frozen for the playoffs.  To be eligible for playoff competition, a player must have played in at least one regular season contest.

 Section 2: Equipment

1.  All participants must wear one of the pinnies provided by the Intramural Department.  In the event a team elects to supply its own jerseys, these must be numbered.

2.  Only sticks with plastic blades are allowed.  This means that sticks that are wood, fiberglass, or any composite are not permitted.  The only exception to this is the goalie who may use a wooden stick.

3.  The Intramural Deparment supplies limited equipment for games. 

4.  With the exception of the goalie, all pads must be worn underneath a player's exterior garments.
