Dodgeball

The third event in the Gym Class Series was the Intramural Dodgeball Tournament.  Beautiful weather led to a great turnout on the lawn in front of Saint Peter Hall, as 7 teams turned up for this event. Two teams dominated the affair on opposite sides of the bracket, as The Shockers, led by Pete Pasuco, swept through the top half of the bracket. On the bottom half of the bracket, I Need a Win was fulfilling their need in sending Black Peoplz and Real Men of Genius into the losers' bracket of the double elimination affair. In a much anticipated semifinal, I Need a Win swept the best 2-out-of-3 series and awaited the winner of Real Men of Genius and The Shockers. The Shockers ducked, dove, dropped, and dodged their way to a finals appearance and a rematch against the unbeaten I Need a Win. 

The finals was an exciting match. The Shockers took the first 2-out-of-3 set, forcing the pivotal sudden death series. I Need a Win regained their winning form and swept the sudden death match and took home the Gym Class Series Intramural Dodgeball Tournament. The Saint Peter's College Dodgeball Triple Crown will resume in December with the Winter Championship held during the All-Nighter on Friday, December 7 in the Recreational Life Center.
