Advice to Parents: Be as supportive as you can with your child as he/she is looking toward their future. It can be a hard and scary time for them and when they are discouraged in any way it is very disheartening to them and a lot of times they loose interest. Remember, though, to be firm with them when it comes to their studies. Every year of high school counts! Encourage them that it never hurts to ask as many questions as possible.
Advice to Students: Try and be as focused as you can. The decisions you make now will be an important role in what will become of your future. Start paying attention to things that interest you early on and start looking for colleges that may help you in that area. It is not always a good idea to wait until your senior year to start thinking about this. Time does go by too quickly sometimes. If you mess up a little in high school, do not think that you have no chance to getting into college. Look at what you have done and bring yourself back up in your studies, not just for colleges but for yourself. Education is one of the greatest gifts that can be given to you but it is up to you to decide what you will do with it. Some of the greatest minds in the world are just like you!
Favorite Movie: “Braveheart”
Favorite Sport: Football (to watch)
Favorite Book: I have always liked Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Something about you that surprises people: That I am 25. People sometimes think I am on a tour when I am walking around campus. Oh and I am a major anime lover.
Why SPC? The small size of the school doesn’t compare to the enormity of the heart of the people who work here, staff as well as faculty. St. Peter’s has so much to offer if you are willing to grab a hold of the great opportunities we allow. Besides our Jesuit ideal of a well rounded education and rising academics, the diversity in culture that is within, as well as around, our college walls is astounding. Opportunity is endless but that is something you will have to come and see for yourself firsthand and I know myself, as well as my colleagues, are looking forward to it.
