Advice to Parents: Keep the communication lines open between you and your college bound child. Albeit, as a parent, do not maintain the entire dialog with each college to which your child is applying. Encourage your child to seek out all of the answers to his/her questions him/herself.

Advice to Students: Don’t depend on your parents to get all of the answers for you. Take control of your college education and you will greatly value the end result. Listen to your gut when making your college choice – you might be surprised!

Something about you that surprises people: I practice a form of yoga that involves 90 minutes in 110 degree heat! And someday I would love to become a certified instructor.
