Goals

The Summer Academy was designed to offer first-time college students the support of an intensive, three-week program focusing on making a successful transition into the academic college arena. The Summer Academy will highlight academic and life skills, introduce students to the demands of college, and present an overview of the resources available to students at Saint Peter’s College.

The Summer Academy also seeks to provide those who attend with an opportunity to meet other first-time college students. We stress a collaborative approach to learning and encourage students to work in groups on a variety of tasks. The Summer Academy is committed to exposing students to the variety of teaching methods they may encounter during their years at Saint Peter’s College.
