- Financial Aid Specialist - Part Time-Englewood Cliffs
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Summary Description:
Counsel and advise students over the counter, on the telephone. The counseling is not limited to financial aid, but entails intervening on behalf of the student and/or directing the student to other departments such as Admission, Residence Life, Athletics, Bursar, etc..
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Assist students with completing their financial aid applications. Assist with on-line filing.
b. Review documentation submitted for accuracy and completeness, verify financial aid information.
c. Advise students as to their eligibility with regard to all the Federal (Title IV), State and institutional financial aid programs. Check federal and state websites to see if applications have been received, make corrections.
d. Provide guidance on applying for loans.
e. Intervene on behalf of the student or directing the student to other departments such as Admission, Finance, Residence Life, Athletics, Bursar, etc..
f. Data entry of documents.
g. Link documents that have been scanned
h. Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of two years experience. A bachelor’s degree required, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service are required. Datatel experience a plus.
