SECRETARY– Education Office

This is a responsible position which involves considerable independent judgment in a busy office.
Perform secretarial work of above-average difficulty and general office functions and related work as required.
The position requires excellent organizational skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and Microsoft Office skills, particularly word documents, excel spreadsheets. 
 
The successful candidate will have the ability to act independently, make informed judgments, and handle multiple assignments. Prior secretarial experience is required, especially in a high volume office. Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
                       
The successful candidate should posses the following: A positive attitude and friendly demeanor; have a service oriented mindset; effective verbal communication; skills, ability to multi-task; customer service experience and experience in an office environment, along with computer skills. 
One to three years secretarial experience preferred.

Clerk-Typist III

Saint Peter’s College currently has an opening for a full-time Clerk Typist III that will split the time between the offices of Communications/Political Science and Social Justice.  Responsibilities include advanced clerical work requiring application of various complex work methods and procedures; thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations of the departments and familiarity with departmental functions, policies and practices. The successful candidate must be well organized, comfortable with Microsoft Office suite and have excellent communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.

PART-TIME WEEKEND DESK ATTENDANT

RECREATIONAL LIFE CENTER
 
The weekend desk attendant is responsible for maintaining the entrance to the Recreational Life Center, greeting/directing all visitors and assisting in other assorted responsibilities.

The weekend office attendant is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Recreational Life Center including answering phones, issuing equipment, selling guest passes, etc. The office manager may also serve as a fill-in desk attendant as needed

SALARY:                   $7.35 per hour

Enrollment Services Specialist

Monday thru Thursday 12:00 pm – 8:00
Saturday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
 
There is presently a full-time position available for an Enrollment Services Specialist in the Enrollment Services Center
 
The individual hired will provide critical services to customers in the areas of records, registration, financial aid, and student accounts. Enrollment Services Specialist must possess the ability to resolve issues promptly, efficiently, and courteously, while extending cura personalis to all customers, internal and external. The individual hired is also responsible for becoming familiar with the College student information system (SPIRIT) as well as various web and PC applications.
 
The Enrollment Specialist should possess the following; positive attitude and friendly demeanor; service-oriented mindset; effective verbal communication skills; ability to multi-task; problem solving skills; customer service experience; experience in an office environment & computer skills.

LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

           
Assistant to work circulation desk. Must deal with students & faculty. Knowledge of computer use essential. Other library duties will be required, including special projects as needed.

Administrative Assistant, Alumni Relations

This full-time, staff position involves performing complex office functions which are of an administrative and secretarial nature. 
 
Coordinate mailings; process event registrations; process reimbursements and payment of invoices, update & maintain alumni website; phone coverage; other duties assigned. Must be available to work nights and weekends if an event is scheduled.
 College degree or professional certification/equivalent experience required. 
 
Superior communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills required. The individual must be flexible, reliable, and able to make decisions regarding office matters and prioritize. Superior computer skills are a necessity (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Internet). Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus. Experience in advancement relations preferred.

Under the direction of the AP Specialist, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be primarily responsible for the data entry of accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices and employee expense reports, and document filing.
 
Other duties may include invoice approval and coding verification, processing/distributing checks, responding to vendor and employee inquiries, problem resolution and maintaining/reconciling petty cash.
 
In addition, the Accounts Payable Clerk will assist with all typical duties assigned to the department and any special projects as required.
 
Requirements include 2 years experience in a fast paced accounts payable department, including a solid understanding of the principles of accounts payable, the functions of an accounts payable department, and utilizing an integrated computerized system.
 
 In addition, the candidate must be attentive to details, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop a positive relationship with the college community and outside vendors.
