- Meet our faculty and speak to students in a classroom setting.

What is the difference between Career Services and the Cooperative education & Internship Education Program?
The Office of Career Services connects students with employers offering entry-level, post-graduate full-time positions. It coordinates the on-campus recruiting program and the Annual Career Fair. Over 80 employers and 1,000 students and alumni/ae participate in our Career Fairs each year. Our competent, caring, and dedicated staff offers a personal and proactive approach to working with you to identify the right candidates for your employment needs.
The Cooperative Education & Internship Program connects students with employers offering part-time, summer, or internship positions. It is a highly successful program with a long history, unique in its flexibility and capacity to provide motivated student workers to fulfill your organization's needs. Through co-op & internships, the workplace becomes the student's classroom and your professional staff become their instructors. The Cooperative Education & Internship team is comprised of a caring, committed, and competent staff of three, dedicated to advancing connections between employers and students. Whether serving employers or students, we aim to satisfy and our record suggests that we do just that. Annually we serve an average of 750 students and 500 employing organizations!
If you have specific questions about how we can best serve you, both of our offices are ready to provide the answers!
How can I Arrange On-Campus Interviews?
Simply contact Janice Hurley, Recruitment Coordinator, to arrange a campus interview schedule by calling (201) 761-6400 or e-mailing her at JHurley2@spc.edu. She will provide you with all the pertinent details and work closely with you. Campus interviews can be arranged in either the Fall or Spring.
Do you charge a fee for your on-campus recruiting program?
We do not charge employers a fee to arrange and conduct an on-campus interview schedule. We consider it our privilege to work with you to find the best candidates.
How do I go about posting positions with the Co-Op & internship Office?
It's quite simple. Communicate your employment needs to us by:
Phone: (201) 761-6410
Fax: (201) 761-6411
E-mail: lmulholland@spc.edu
We then promote your position among our students and refer appropriate candidates to you - at no cost and on your terms. You need not organize a formal program, although we would be happy to assist you in that effort. We recruit, pre-screen, and place students throughout the year in part-time, full-time, seasonal, temporary, and summer positions. We ask that you provide a supervised work/learning environment and complete an evaluation of the student at the conclusion of the work period.
While some students will accept an unpaid internship and "earn" academic credit, you will maximize your chances of success by offering students a competitive wage. Just ask us for an idea of pay rates/ranges.
How do I list an entry-level or full-time position and/or interview candidates?
There are a number of options and services:
- You may list a position by e-mailing or faxing your requirements to us. Let us know what skills and prior experience the position requires. You may e-mail your position description to JHurley2@spc.edu.. Our fax number is (201) 761-6401. Or simply post your position on our web site using the easy to fill out form (click here to access job posting page). Upon your request, we will forward the resumes of appropriate candidates. You have the option of interviewing them at your location or at our office.
- Our On-Campus Recruitment Program is another option; contact Enzo Fonzo for more details.
