upcoming EventsEach semester the Office of Student Activities offers several exciting events. Below is a list of upcoming events for the Spring of 2008: JERSEY GARDENS SHUTTLE Our bi-weekly shuttle takes you to New Jersey's largest outlet mall featuring several restaurants and a mega movie theatre with stadium seating. The shuttle departs from campus at 6, 7, 8, & 9pm. Discount movie tickets are available on the shuttle for $4 (limit one per person). For more information and dates of the shuttle, see the Jersey Gardens Shuttle page! COFFEEHOUSE You think you can sing? Don’t worry about the words, just come out and have a great time. Karaoke Coffeehouse will get you out of your seat and maybe on stage performing! Even if you’re bashful, stop by Roy Irving to see what kind of talent SPC has.Every Monday, the Student Entertainment Board hosts a Coffeehouse/Open Mic. Coffeehouse is from 8:00-10:00pm in the Roy Irving Theater unless otherwise noted. The January 28th Coffeehouse, will be a special Karaoke/Open Mic Coffeehouse. MOVIE NIGHTS Need a break from classes and homework? Stop by Pope Lecture Hall for the Movie of the Week. Even if you've already seen it, nothing beats a study break with a good movie. The Student Entertainment Board presents its Movie Night every Tuesday in Pope Lecture Hall. Movies start at 8:00pm and are listed on the Movie Night webpage.
Orientation Interest meeting - January 24, 2008 Want to spend the summer getting to know the Class of 2012? Want to be one of the smiling faces who welcomed you when you first got to Saint Peters? Come to the Orientation Interest meeting at 12pm in Pope 110 to get the scoop on what it’s really like to be an O-team leader.
PEACOCK SPIRIT WEEK - January 27 - February 2!
January 28 -Build a Bird Noon in Jazzman’s
It’s time to get your peacock in gear! Let’s show how much spirit we really have and make the best peacock we can. Stop by Jazzman’s on Monday to make your own feather for your class’ peacock. These peacocks will be on display during the week to remind us of our peacock pride. January 29 - The Birds Go Bowling Yeah, we’re loud and we’re proud! Come with us as we go bowling at Bowl Rite Lanes. Lanes and shoes are super cheap, and there’s nothing else better to do on a Tuesday night than to show off your perfect spin. Sign up in Student Activities. January 30 - "Pep it Up" Pep Rally in the Hudson Room Get ready to cheer for your Peacocks all week! Stop by the Hudson room to congratulate all the athletes for their hard work and wish them well in their upcoming games. Prizes to make you happy and music to get your body moving, what could be better?! January 30 - Magician Brian Brushwood
Be dazed and amazed with this fabulous magician. He won’t be pulling rabbits out of hats, but he’ll have you on the edge of your seat with his fascinating tricks. He’s been across the pond, all over the country, on Jay Leno and now he’s coming to Saint Peter’s College. Come out and be amazed! January 31 - Blue and White Party - 8:00-10:00pm in the Pavonia Room There won’t be any shaking and grooving at this party, but we’ll be making a statement. Join us in Jazzman’s to make signs and posters for the Basketball Double Header on Sunday. We’ll also watching “Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” and see how many Peacocks are really smarter than 5th graders. Blue and White snacks will be shared by all!
January 31 - Peacock Pride If your blood really runs Peacock Blue, then you’ll have no problem showing your Peacock Pride. Wear your SPC gear and show how much you really love Saint Peters. Get your friends in on spirit, prizes will be given for the most creative and outstanding Peacock!
