Re: 2008 Commencement Ceremony, Honorary Degrees, and Related Events

On behalf of the Commencement Committee, I am pleased to give you information regarding Commencement 2008.
The President of Saint Peter's College, Eugene J. Cornacchia, recently announced the names of the distinguished individuals who will be receiving honorary degrees at the Commencement ceremony. The Commencement speaker will be Thomas D. Carver, Executive Director of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and former Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development for the state of New Jersey. Mr. Carver, a 1958 graduate of Saint Peter’s College, is also a Regent Emeritus. Robert J. Roggenstein, retired Principal of McNair Academic High School in Jersey City, NJ, will also be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Mr. Roggenstein is a 1965 alumnus of Saint Peter’s College.
