Everything we do at Saint Peter’s College is about students. This is an institution deeply committed to the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis — personal care for the whole individual and the development of the mind, body and spirit — one student at a time.
Continuing our rich tradition requires something new, something essential — the College’s first student center — a six-story facility located on the east side of campus spanning Montgomery Street to Glenwood Avenue. This signature building will not only transform our physical campus and ensure that we can continue to attract high caliber students, but also create a unifying space where the entire Saint Peter’s community can gather to learn, grow and thrive.
As an entry point for Saint Peter’s College, the new student center is where WSPC Radio will broadcast live programming and Gannon Debating Team members will get ready for cross-fire debate. It’s where study groups will meet to collaborate on multi-media presentations and Campus Ministry will plan their next community service project. Space will be available for local community groups to use as well. A center for college life, it will fill a critical need by simply creating well-designed space that serves as a dynamic hub of activity for the College community.
The new student center, along with growing the College’s endowment and Annual Fund, comprise an ambitious campaign with a goal of $62 million that will secure the future of The Jesuit College of New Jersey and its commitment to excellence. We’re asking you to join us in this great endeavor, Students at the Center: The Campaign for Saint Peter’s College. A new era is upon us and it’s time we seize it.
Sincerely,
Eugene J. Cornacchia
