  • INFOMINE: Scholarly Internet Resource Collections " INFOMINE is a virtual library of Internet resources relevant to faculty, students, and research staff at the university level. It contains useful Internet resources such as databases, electronic journals, electronic books, bulletin boards, mailing lists, online library card catalogs, articles, directories of researchers, and many other types of information."
  • Internet Movie Database Comprehensive overview of the motion picture industry that includes links to new releases, cast lists, reviews, filmographies and plot summaries.
  • Journal of Religion and Film Online journal provided by the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
  • Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre Maintained and operated by local volunteers, presentations include restored copies of classic movies in a variety of genres. Guest speakers often lecture on films and hold question and answer sessions.
  • Links to Cinema History and Cinema Studies University of Minnesota - Site developed by professor Robert E. Yahnke. Provides links to cinema history, museums, resources for teaching and directors to watch.
  • Literature, arts, and medicine database This database from New York University Medical School provides interesting annotations to works of art, literature and film that relate to medicine.
  • Mina Rees Library - Film Studies CUNY Graduate Center Links to New York film sites, popular culture, journals, news, screenplays, organizations and museums, film reviews and theory are included.
  • Movie Review Query Engine Contains 79,772 reviews.
  • MovieFlix.com "This site offers more than 1,200 titles free to anyone who registers at the site and provides "basic demographic information" (only name, e-mail, and snail-mail address required). Viewing requires RealPlayer, available for downloading through the site.   • New York Times Movies Free access to New York Times film reviews from 1983 on.
  • Prelinger Archives "is a collection of over 45,000 "ephemeral" (advertising, educational, industrial, and amateur) films. It is located in New York City and San Francisco."
  • Public Moving Image Archives and Research Centers Access to major national and international film archives.
  • SIBMAS International Directory of Performing Arts Collections and Institutions " lists over 7000 international institutions with material relating to the performing arts (theatre, opera, music, ballet, film, circus, radio, television, cabaret, pantomime)."
  • Silents Majority Dedicated to the study of silent films. 
  • University of Chicago - Film Studies Center Offers an excellent starting point for research.
