Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society.  A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, it was founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University.

There are over 600 Chapters located in Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. Saint Peter's College has had a Chapter of the Society since 1987.

The 2007-2008 Sigma Tau Delta Cermony will take place on Monday, April 7th at noon in McIntyre Lounge. Inductees will announcement shortly.

2005-2006 Sigma Tau Delta Inductees

The Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, Induction Ceremony took place on Wednesday, April 26, 2006.  Inductees were Nesty Diaz ’07, John Doherty '07, Colin Hanley '07, Stephen Kuzminski '06, Patrick Nagawiecki '06, Kevin Pettit '06, John Robinson '06, and Alexis Smith '06.

Mary Ann McGuigan '72, Executive Developmental Editor at Bloomberg Press and author of books for young adults, addressed the inductees into Sigma Tau Delta.

McGuigan has written for newspapers and magazines and has published short stories for both children and adults. Her novel, Where You Belong, was a finalist for the National Book Award.
